In January 2024, the major refurbishment of the library will begin.
The priorities driving this refurbishment are the protection of the heritage of this beautiful Grade II listed building and the Council’s commitment to decarbonise its properties.
It is estimated that the refurbishment will take seven months. During this time a mobile library service available.
The events organised by the Friends of Highgate Library from January 2024 until the refurbishment is complete will take place in other venues. Check the events pages for details.
