SUMMARY:"Women in Revolt!" - Art and Activism - The local story
DESCRIPTION:The recent exhibition at Tate Britain was an inspiring tribute to the power of women’s art in the Women’s Liberation Movement. It was infused with a radical power\, passion\, and energy drawing its strength from the grass roots. Women living and working in Camden were very much part of it. \nCome and hear from some of the local exhibitors and women in the exhibition: \nPru Stevenson who set up the See Red Poster Workshop\, Mica Nava a member of the Tufnell Park Women’s Group\, Joanne O’Brien\, founder of first women’s photographer agency. Event chaired by Angela Mason former director of Stonewall and former Chair of the Fawcett Society. \nThere is no need to register – just arrive on the evening!
